Elections
December 31 is the deadline to submit intent to run for a tribal council position. Letters of intent should be submitted to the tribal office and include the position you are interested in running for, a photo, bio, and brief statement on your involvement in the MNI community and why you want to hold office. Elections will occur in early spring and outcomes will be announced at the spring general meeting. Open positions include chief and vice-chief running mate (4 year term) and one open at-large tribal council member (4 year term).
Spring General Meeting
Event for members of the Miami Nation of Indiana and their families only. This bi-annual meeting is a great opportunity to learn what tribal council is working on, learn the most recent updates on our efforts to establish federal recognition, and connect with Miami relatives. Scholarship recipients will be honored and election results will be announced.
Pacers Basketball Clinic
In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, Pacers Sports & Entertainment is excited to host a youth basketball clinic in partnership with the Miami Nation of Indiana and the National Basketball Academy, featuring an appearance by Associate Head Coach Justin Wetzel of the Noblesville Boom.
