MNI members interested in learning more about the history of the Miami Nation of Indiana and our recent efforts to build and digitize the MNI Archives are invited to sign up for a 3 day workshop. Dr. Ashley Glassburn will share and answer questions about MNI history and archives. Folks will learn about how they can help with our archival efforts, go on a tour of Miami cemeteries in the region, and learn some Miami songs and dances. This camp runs parallel to the youth camp so that families coming to visit from out of town can participate in both.
The workshop will run roughly 9am-5pm each day. The cost of the workshop is $40 and includes daily lunch and a closing community dinner on Wednesday. There will be optional group dinners, side trips, and cultural events in the evenings. You will need to arrange your own lodging nearby, but there will be an option for people to share an Airbnb who are interested. Fill out this online form to register for the History Workshop, you will then be sent information about how to submit payment and further information about the schedule.
